Andrew W. Garner M.D. Family Practice appreciates the opportunity to serve your health care needs. For more than 20 years our relationship with patients and the medical community in the Glens Falls, Queensbury and Lake George regions of New York has been outstanding.
 
Family Medicine – A Special Distinction
 
Medical care requires knowledge, skill and process. Although knowledge and skill are shared with other specialties, the family medicine process is unique.
 
The patient-physician relationship in the framework of family practice is central to this process. In most situations the family doctor functions as the patient’s first and primary contact with health care. This puts him in a unique position to form a bond with the patient, and build a distinct and lasting relationship over many years.

At Andrew W. Garner M.D. Family Practice, your family’s health is of utmost importance to us. We provide primary care to families ages 16 and up. We like to think of ourselves as delivering the ‘home cooking’ style of medical care.
 
Whether you come in for a cold, an injury, or a routine physical exam, we provide patients and families with care that’s timely, thorough, and focused on getting them back to their lives as quickly as possible.
 
Rather than the traditional thinking in which you go to the doctor when you’re sick and are treated illness-to-illness, Dr. Garner’s partnership with each patient focuses on keeping you well and not just treating you when you’re sick.
 
Dr. Garner and his staff strive to:

Office Procedures

 

  

Appointments

Appointments are scheduled by calling (518) 798-9401. We see patients on Monday-Thursday 8:30am–4:30pm, Friday 8:30–1:00pm, as well as every other Tuesday Noon–7:00pm.

 

We try our best to stay as close to on time as we can, as we know your time is valuable; however with the new computer system wait times have increased. Emergencies do sometimes come up, and we will try our best to inform you of any long delays.

 

If you need to cancel your appointment we ask for 24 hours advanced notice. This courtesy allows other patients to be seen conveniently. There is a charge for not cancelling an appointment prior to 24 hrs.

Medical Telephone Calls

 

Please call our office with any questions or concerns you have, no matter how big or small. Your call is important to us, and a staff person will try to answer your questions when you call.

 

Calls requiring the attention of Dr. Garner or his nurse will be relayed accordingly and either the nurse or doctor will return your call at the earliest opportunity possible.

 

Some questions may require a more comprehensive evaluation of the problem and we will ask you to schedule an appointment.

  

Prescription Refills

 

Please call your pharmacy and ask for a refill so that they can send us an electronic request.  

 

Health Insurance

 

We accept most insurance. If you do not have health insurance, arrangements can be made for payment.

 

Billing

For questions regarding billing, call Steve Olson at 1-888-803-5854.

 

We do request that you pay all co-pays at the time of service.

 

Emergencies

 

If it's a life-threatening situation, please go to the nearest emergency room, or call 911 for immediate attention.

 

If it's after hours, our answering service will forward the message to the physician on call, and your call will be returned as soon as possible.
